Tween Time
A 6-week group for girls ages 9-12yrs.
The journey of a pre-teen can be challenging at times. Girl “cliques” start to take hold, the body begins to change and things just become so much more CONFUSING! It can also be a time of INCREDIBLE creativity, authenticity and power for young girls.
The “Tween Time” group is all about harnessing these unique strengths and
channeling them through visual/movement arts, exploring the natural world, making herbal preparations, girls council circles and more. Its about helping young girls step into their pre-teen years with confidence and a strong self-concept so that when the waters get rough, they remain compassionately connected to themselves and to each other.
Topics to be explored during the 6-weeks:
~Creating healthy female friendships
~Body Image/Identity
~Self- esteem
~Bullying/Peer Pressure
~Our connection to the natural world as a source of empowerment
Dates/location:
Thursdays, starting February 16th- March 22nd from 3:45-5pm.
Group held at Passages Counseling: 5378 Sterling Drive Suite 4, Boulder.
Investment: $30/wk, payment options available. Includes a nourishing snack and all materials.
