Skyhawks Sports Academy

In my hands off approach to summer our schedule is filling up quick with playdates with friends and days at the pool.  There’s been little time to email and post.  You know what?  We are having a blast!

Last year the one activity we kept in our no-schedule, no-commitments summer was the Skyhawks Sports Academy  for Mr. C.  Last year we were all about basketball, but this year he is interested in golf.  His birthday was filled with all things golf!   With our kids finding their own passion, we are learning a lot.  Golf isn’t my thing or my husband’s, but our son has taken a liking to it.

So what do you do?

You find yourself checking out books at the library, looking for clubs at garage sales, spending days the driving range, finding golf camps to attend, perusing the Sunday paper for golf stories, turning on the TV to some golf tournament and learning right along with them. A day at the driving range is surprisingly fun and cheap.  Our kids can spend hours just hitting balls and everyone has always been so kind to us.

I was excited when I saw that our favorite summer camp offers a week long golf camp.  So Mr. C will be attending and he is over the moon excited.  I’m happy that he will be attending a trustworthy camp that we have attended the last 3 years.  The prices are reasonable and the offerings span a wide range of sports.

Skyhawks Sports Academy offers week-long sports camps for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Since 1979, over 1.5 million children have attended a Skyhawks Sports Camp. For over 30 years, Skyhawks has been committed to providing a safe, fun and skill-based experience for kids.

Their website is user friendly and easy to find a camp near you.

Disclosure: Mr. C will be attending camp in exchange for this post.
